It was also found that grammatical losses contributed to semantic losses, which are mostly partial semantic losses of the connotative or the expressive meanings. The study revealed losses occurring in translating grammatical aspects such as conjunctions, syntactic order, duality, tense, and verbs. Qualitative descriptive approach was adopted to analyze the data extracted from Abdel Haleem’s English translation of Surah Al A’araf. This study aimed at investigating the grammatical losses in the translation of the Holy Quran, with special reference to Surah Al A’araf, and the extent these losses cause partial or complete semantic loss. One type of such losses is grammatical loss, which sometimes occurs due to differences between the source text (ST) and the target text (TT). These translations, however, have revealed complete and partial translation losses. To date, various translations are available for nonnative speakers of Arabic. However, it is a necessity due to the large number of Muslims who do not speak Arabic. Translating the Holy Quran is a challenging task. The translators have shown substantial variation in translating such attributes. It has been verified, in this study, that adopting the Islamic approach along with the translational model is inevitable to translate the revealed attributes appropriately. Five revealed attributes of Allah have been analyzed and compared in six translations to identify the appropriateness of the translations as compared to an adapted model created by combining the Islamic approach and Newmark s model of translation. This study aims at bringing to light the importance of adopting the Islamic approach to explore translating the revealed attributes of Allah in the Glorious Quran into English. Consequently, this subject will constitute an area of considerable difficulty for the translators since they are required to make a reasonable balance between the Islamic approach and the translational one to deal with this subject properly. When it comes to the translation of these attributes, more attention should be paid by the translators. The revealed attributes of Allah is a sensitive subject whose understanding requires being acquainted with the Islamic teachings that deal with these attributes. this publication goes on to investigate jam‘ al-Qur’an, i.e., the collection of the Qur’an and its putting together in the form of a Book, in all its stages, as well as its preservation until the present day posing a challenge to all people of intellect.
